About Gamet Manufacturing

Grain Sampling Equipment Innovators Since 1937

Gamet Manufacturing has been a trusted name in grain sampling equipment since 1937, when founder Dean Gamet began building tools in Richfield, Minnesota. By the late 1940s, Gamet was producing brass grain probes and sample dividers, helping establish one of the grain industry’s most recognized brands serving the grain, feed, and seed sectors.

Built for Accurate, Dependable Sampling Results

Today, Gamet Manufacturing is known for dependable, accurate sampling systems that support quality control and grading across a wide range of grain-handling operations.

Setting the Standard for Diverter-Type Sampling Systems

In the early 1960s, Gamet entered a new chapter under the ownership of Midwestern Machinery Company. During this era—led by Richard “Dick” Selenski and Kendall Johnson—Gamet helped develop the first diverter-type sampling systems, which remain widely regarded as an industry standard for accuracy and reliability in grain sampling.

Expanding Global Reach Through Proven Partnerships

In 1981, Seedburo Equipment Company (Chicago, Illinois) acquired Gamet Manufacturing, supporting growth as industry demands evolved. Gamet’s focus on quality manufacturing and customer service was strengthened through a marketing relationship with Robbco Enterprises, led by Frank L. Robb, and additional representation that expanded Gamet products worldwide.

Employee-Owned Leadership Since 2001

In 2001, the current management team completed an employee buyout from Seedburo Equipment Company—forming Gamet Manufacturing Incorporated. Gamet and Seedburo continue working closely together to market products globally.

Revolutionizing Inbound Truck Sampling

Strategic acquisitions advanced how inbound grain is sampled—especially for high-throughput receiving. The acquisitions of Iowa Grain Probe and Equipment (Ron Krough) and JaHam Sales and Service (Thom Hamilton) expanded Gamet’s offerings to include the Apollo and JaHam truck probe sampler lines.

Our Commitment: Performance, Reliability, Accuracy

From the vision of our founders to modern manufacturing technology, Gamet Manufacturing remains committed to producing one of the widest ranges of grain sampling equipment available today—focused on performance, reliability, and accuracy for grain, feed, and seed customers worldwide.
